The Worthington School District strictly prohibits discrimination against candidates for employment and also against employees on the basis of race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation (excluding persons whose sexual orientation involves minor children as the sex object), genetic information, ancestry, or handicapping condition, unless based upon a bona fide occupational qualification. This policy relates to all phases of employment including, but not limited to, hiring, employment, placement, upgrading, demotion or transfer, reduction of workforce or termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection of training. It is the responsibility of each department head to ensure the implementation of these policies to avoid any discrimination in employment.
